FOREVER FOREVER

In a chequered world of blacks and whites,
Me and you, we hope to find,
Warmth and hues as of balls of wool
Something true and so beautiful!
Like laughter ringing from a snowy hut,
From the trip you planned, never made it but!
The song you missed as the blind man passed,
Perhaps you were tired, and, traffic was vast?
Like a patient rainbow waiting for ages,
While of a dull life you complain in rages.
The full moon showed-off and stars did sway,
While you promptly planned a brighter day!
Like pennies gleaming in a wishing well,
Your eyes were shut and you just can't tell.
Like the stains, on her cheeks were found,
When she heard dad leaving with dawn's first sound..
Like the letters they wrote, yet never sent,
For promises break and words don't mend.
The falling star missed, in a moment of mirth,
While you laughed at tales of heaven on earth!
Each day you choked for a perfect life,
Like bees store nectar in a fateless hive.
You schemed a forever all the while,
Life kept watching with a sarcastic smile!
For, today, the lifetime you just ran through...
And none meets tomorrow, neither will you!
