Come With Your Shades

Come with your shades,don't worry
For I know people come in shades.
A never ending blend of hues
Beyond the blacks and whites
that they preached you about
Crushing the don'ts
Beyond the do's.

Come with your shades, for I dont judge
For i know that colours do fade
For I rebel each day with a world so perfect
For the flawed strokes in which I was made

They might tell you black is all thats defined
And white the blissfull, the pure and wise
And greys never were for they died in the deep
Unnamed,unsung,a sad demise.
They might try to paint you,in shades they remember
For long ago they've forgotten all rest
Lived a long life wiping off the strokes
That crossed the lines,or dawned a quest.

Come with your shades for I know they are
The very root of the bequest you carry
Faded or marred,or a little amiss
They still are your soul that never is weary.
They still define your spirit alive,
The wind beneath your wings that soar
Your colours of you that outshine the mundane
Show them it won't die, however much they abhor.

Come with your shades for its all you are
Everything else a delusion,a lie
For not everyone were to run in a race
Some like you were born to fly.
Come with your shades for I believe
A little colour you should leave behind
Then amidst arrays of blacks and white
That one uncanny stroke,of you will remind.
